Different approaches, both privacy-first. Proton encrypts email in their Swiss cloud (zero-access). HeyRobyn processes everything on-device with zero cloud transmission — no data ever leaves your Mac. HeyRobyn can't access your data because it never reaches our servers. What happens to my Slack and GitHub data in HeyRobyn?
All Slack messages, GitHub notifications, and other data are cached locally on your Mac in an encrypted SQLite database. Nothing is sent to HeyRobyn servers. AI processing (summarization, triage) happens on-device using local models — no OpenAI or cloud AI APIs.
Is HeyRobyn open-source like Proton Mail?
Not yet, but it's on the roadmap for Q2 2026. We're prioritizing security audits first, then open-sourcing the client. Unlike Proton Mail (which needs cloud infrastructure), HeyRobyn's architecture is simpler to audit since everything runs locally.
Can I export my data from HeyRobyn?
